About the Journal
CIEX Journ@l is an academic and research journal published in Chilpancingo, the capital city of the state of Guerrero, Mexico. Its topics are language teaching and applied linguistics. This journal is issued biannually. The two issues are published in April and October.

No. 23 (2026): CIEX Journ@l
In this 23rd issue, CIEX Journal presents some research papers on topics regarding phatic production and interlocutor status, ICT apps used to improve English grammar, motivation in learning English, and an essay about "Responsibility: An important community value in indigenous languages academic education". The purpose of presenting this issue is to promote the publication of research findings and values in English language teaching.
The editors are national and international reviewers who sightlessly evaluate and offer some suggestions for each work. This process also includes the use of the software “Plagious” to guarantee the originality of the papers published.
Lastly, a call to all the professionals involved in the areas of language teaching and applied linguistics within national and international educational backgrounds is announced for them to submit some articles or essays to be reviewed and then circulated in the Journal.
