Academic integrity and plagiarism prevention policy

CIEX Journ@l upholds the highest standards of academic integrity, editorial ethics and scientific rigor in all the processes of submission, review, editing, and publication of manuscripts.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the works submitted for consideration are original, unpublished and the result of research conducted in accordance with recognized ethical and methodological principles. Also, they must properly cite and reference all the sources used, respecting intellectual property rights and citation guidelines established by the journal.

As part of the editorial process, all manuscripts undergo an originality review through specialized software (Plagius) to detect similarities. The results are analyzed by the editorial team to identify possible cases of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, misuse of references or any other practice that compromises the academic integrity of the work.

When ethical irregularities are detected, the journal may request clarifications or corrections from the authors, reject the manuscript or, in the case of already published articles, issue corrections, statements of concern, or retractions, according to the nature and severity of the identified violation.

The journal adheres to the principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for handling possible cases of scientific misconduct and for resolving conflicts related to academic publication.

Likewise, reviewers and members of the editorial team must act with impartiality, confidentiality, objectivity, and respect for the ethical principles that regulate scientific communication.

CIEX Journ@l reserves the right to take any editorial measures that it deems appropriate to safeguard the quality, credibility, and integrity of the published content.
